Cross Cultural Studies Review

Aims & Scope

A journal for comparative studies of culture, literature, and the arts. Cross Cultural Studies Review welcomes interdisciplinary, comparative and critical research in literature, literature in translation, film, theatre but also social, political, cultural, visual / media phenomena. It fosters research on literary and cultural migrations and transfers as well as on theoretical and philosophical questions. It specializes in Slavic and East-Asian scholarship with a focus on cultural transfers between the Balkans and the Korean Peninsula, the Mediterranean and Central Europe, as well as concepts of Homeland and Diaspora(s) through innovation, recontextualization and reconceptualization. The journal also fosters cross-cultural connections between the humanities and the arts and other areas including those of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) and other academic disciplines deriving from interactions between different, frequently asymmetric, national, cultural, gender, economic, geopolitical, intellectual and institutional contexts.

Languages: English, Croatian, Italian, French.
